Tractorzam is a fully registered Zambian company that has been operating for over 16 years. The Companies Head Office is situated in the transformed, fast growing industrial area of Makeni. In addition to being the sole supplier of Valtra Hightech Tractors from Finland and Valtra Standard Spec Tractors from Brazil, the company also supplies Tatu Marchesan, PÖTTINGER, Fieldking agricultural implements and genuine Agco spares. With branches in both Lusaka and Mazabuka, Tractorzam distributes agricultural tractors, farm implements and genuine spare parts within Zambia and the region.
The Group is principally involved in the production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, milk, dairy products, eggs, stock feed and flour. Zambezi Ranching & Cropping was a medium size ranch in 2001 . This has now been developed into the largest mixed farming operation in Zambia . Operations range from labour intensive crops like tobacco , onions and seedmaize to more mechanised crops like commercial maize , wheat , barley , soya beans and potatoes . The ranching aspect includes beef cattle , dairy , broiler and a game ranching license . Future developments include investments in precision farming , a 500 sow multiplier unit , cold storeage for potatoes and an abattoir . Crops are grown under rainfed conditions as well as sprinkler and centre pivot irrigation.
